American Tower subsidiary acquires Essar Telecom Infrastructure
American Tower’s Indian subsidiary, Transcend Infrastructure (TIL), has acquired Essar Telecom Infrastructure (ETIPL) from the Essar Group, for approximately $430m in cash.

Radius Infratel, a fixed broadband infrastructure provider in India, has signed a new contract with Ericsson to meet the demand for broadband access across the country. Qualcomm has announced Global Holding and Tulip Telecom as initial shareholders for its India LTE venture.
