Citrix launches SaaS-based IT management solution

Citrix Online, a division of Citrix Systems, is entering the IT Management sector with the launch of Gotomanage, an integrated web-based platform for monitoring, controlling and supporting attended or unattended IT infrastructure anywhere.

The launch of the new service is aimed at enabling Citrix Online to meet the demand from the SaaS-based IT management market. The company said Gotomanage will provide small and mid-size businesses (SMBs) and managed service providers (MSPs) an alternative to complex premise-based software.

Gotomanage is based on the service offering from Paglo Labs, a provider of Software as a Service (SaaS)-based IT search and management services acquired by Citrix Systems early this year. It is an integrated web-based platform for monitoring, controlling and supporting attended or unattended IT infrastructure anywhere. It achieves this by creating an IT ’system of record’ — providing businesses with the ability to discover and identify all network devices; monitor critical servers and applications in real-time; manage network usage and track configuration changes.
