Radius Infratel, a fixed broadband infrastructure provider in India, has signed a new contract with Ericsson to meet the demand for broadband access across the country. The deal is reported to be Ericsson’s largest fibre-to the-home contract in India. The company hopes to reach an estimated 600,000 households and businesses through this deal.

Ericsson achieves 0.5Gbps data rate with VDSL2 technology
Ericsson has informed that it has performed, what it claims to be, the world’s first live demonstration of a VDSL2-based technology achieving data transfer rates of more than 0.5Gbps.
